Isaiah describes the Lord in amazing, mind-stretching ways. Chapter 40 lights up with our God as creator, judge, omniscient and powerful. He calls each star by name and is never weak or weary. While our minds are trying to comprehend the vastness of God, Isaiah brings Him right back to a personal level. β€œO Jacob, how can you say the Lord does not see your troubles?” I like thinking of God as Everything and myself as next to nothing. He puts me in my place. Then, when I’m feeling smaller than a speck next to our infinite Lord, He says He sees me. Hears me. Is with me. God knows our name and everything about us. He sees our troubles and triumphs. β€œHe gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.” Amen! A grateful speck, Tracy
