Readings: Philippians 4:12-13, John 8:1-11
Here’s my first God-inspired example of change this year: Get healthy versus be healthy. My goal is often to get healthy. It’s full of exercise plans and food restrictions, and failure. Yesterday God nudged me to think “Be healthy.” To be healthy, I have to make constant positive choices that effect my well-being. It’s a daily process, but it is also a state of being. Therefore, to be healthy, I need to chose health every time. Well, sometimes I might choose chocolate, but usually I would need to choose vegetables, exercise, and reading His Word. As we learned at the Faith and Memory lecture, “You can choose what you import and export” regarding your brain and your body. Seems like many Americans forget that. I would like to make every decision as a healthy person. It would be a new way to think, a new way to be. However, like we learned last week, I will need His transforming or I can’t change my thinking and my decisions. Praying God will help me BE in 2020. “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13) Praying you can be what God intends this year, too. God grant it! Choosing Jesus with you, Tracy
