“O Holy Night” is one of my favorite songs. The lyrics are moving, the tune is inspiring. Gives me chills when someone transcends the music and worships mightily with that song from 1847. When Mary and Joseph lived that holy night, the angel said to the shepherds, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” I love how personal the angel is…first sharing the good news of great joy for ALL the people. Then the angel affirms each person, “a Savior has been born to YOU.”
Back to the song, “Long lay the world in sin and error pining, ’til He appeared, and the soul felt its worth.” Feel your worth, friends. Christmas time is our great reminder that Jesus was born for us. The Savior came especially for you on a holy night so you don’t have to be afraid of the dark anymore. His Light and Love will always hold you. Praising His Name forever with all of you this Christmas, Tracy
