Thank you for taking a moment to “stop by” and take a peek at our Shea campus web page! Please browse all you wish! I encourage you to also browse our Mountain View campus page to get the full picture of our ministry. Shepherd of the Desert is one church on two campuses in Scottsdale.
Of course, the best way to experience Shepherd of the Desert is to come visit in person! We invite you to worship with us and/or take part in any of the ministry activities that sound interesting to you. More than anything, we would enjoy meeting you and helping you experience a closer connection with God. His love for all people, as demonstrated most clearly in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, is central to everything we do here at Shepherd.
Our Shea campus features a more traditional worship space, although we offer four different styles of worship on a weekend, from traditional to modern. Our worship services are a time for us as God’s people to come together as a community, encounter God, respond to Him, connect with each other, and embrace the story by which He has made us into a family. And it’s for that reason that we place an important emphasis on community, hospitality, fellowship around God’s Word and Sacraments (Baptism and Holy Communion), and the mission to which God has called us: Leading People to Follow Jesus.
Shepherd of the Desert is a wonderful community of people from many different backgrounds, heritages, and places of origin who have found a common bond of God’s love in Christ Jesus expressed in care and compassion for one another. I invite you to come experience this for yourself!
If you’d like to just sit and talk sometime, I would enjoy visiting with you. I’ll buy the coffee.
