Shepherd of the Desert’s
Worship Arts Ministry

Our Worship Arts Ministry’s purpose is to utilize the serving arts as well as the musical and technical arts to create relevant environments where life-change can occur through the power of the Holy Spirit through corporate worship of our congregation.

There are many ways to serve our Lord through these ministries and a wonderful place to find encouragement, love, spiritual growth, and support as you learn to use and grow in your God-given gifts and talents through serving within these ministries.

Our Technical Arts ministry includes audio/visual and screen designers. Our Worship Assistants include the Elder Board, Altar Guild, Acolytes, Ushers, Greeters, and Lectern Readers. We are always recruiting and have an opening for you to get involved!

The volunteer opportunities in our Music Ministries are open and always recruiting. Serving opportunities are available in:

  • The Shepherd Choir – Our adult choir (ages 16 years old +) conduct rehearsals in the music loft of our Shea sanctuary on Thursdays at 6:45 PM.
  • The Shepherd Bells (All ages welcome – knowledge of reading music is a plus!) Rehearsals on Mondays at 6:15 PM in the Worship Hall (behind the sanctuary curtains in our Shea sanctuary)
  • Shepherd Brass Ensemble – Rehearsals are twice monthly on Saturdays at 10 AM in our Shea Campus sanctuary.
