Everyone who drives a car knows that if you don’t keep up with maintenance, it will eventually cease to function safely, and eventually quit entirely. Our spiritual life is a little bit like that – God invites us to consider his ongoing work within us, and if we just show up to church once in a while and otherwise neglect our relationship with Him, well, it could eventually fall out of our field of vision entirely. This week we consider our character – the parts of ourselves that others see and interact with, and are encouraged by the letter to the Colossians as to how God works character reform in us.
