Qualified?

Sunday School lessons on King David paint a picture of a brave young shepherd volunteering to slay a giant, an honorable man waiting for the kingship promised to him, and a victorious warrior. But wait, there’s more! As he grew older, he was impatient and dishonorable, violent and not always victorious. How could King David be a man after God’s own heart, and a man after his neighbor’s wife? Our pastors will be preaching about middle-aged David for the next few weeks.
