Our sweet little grandson has a pronoun problem as he tries to figure out the English language. When Mama points to a picture of him, she says, “That’s you.” So, he calls himself “you” now. He will figure it out soon, but it is just adorable when he sits in our lap and asks to see pictures of himself on a cellphone, then squeals, “More you!” Sometimes I have the same pronoun problem, mixing up you and me. I should focus on “more you” in the true sense – I should put others first, and always work for their best life possible. Yet, selfish times of “more me” pop up, often due to weariness or just being human. And there’s value in me time to recharge, rest, and reconnect to my power source, Jesus. But once I am charged up by His Spirit, more you can be my heart’s cry again.

When we squeal to the Lord, “More You,” He is happy to give. In Latin we say Jesus is “pro me” (for me). What a wonderful Savior that promises and proves He is for me. For you. (Thank you, Pastor Scott, for the beautiful theological Latin lesson!) Let your soul rejoice that Jesus is for you and wants to make His home in your heart. I pray with Paul from Ephesians 3 for you, “that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.” Always growing with you, for you, and for Him, Tracy
