No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. 1 John 4:12
I felt the perfect and full expression of love that John spoke about, just this week. Our beautiful baby was next to me, her sweet baby was snuggled in my arms, and we were on our way to see our other beautiful daughter and family. Bonus delight, when I looked out the airplane window, I saw miles of snow capped mountains glistening in the sunshine. With my heart so full and joy so complete, God’s love and peace rained down on our family in such a special way. I thought of God’s love and how He delights in each of us in His perfect, full expression of love.
We might not always feel it so intensely, but according to the verse above, God wants us to. Believers who love each other employ not only their own care, but God’s. That is what makes love full…His and ours together. We can look for opportunities to share the full expression of God’s love entwined with ours within our own families, and with our faith family. Beyond that, God gives us the power to witness with His love to people outside our family and across our world. Praying for us all to live in the full expression of God’s love more often. Joy, Tracy
