Daring Confidence

Grace alone. Faith alone. Scripture alone. Thank you, Martin Luther, for making life so easy to understand. Martin knew as well as we do that life is complicated and oftentimes impossible to understand. But the clarity and truth that came from Luther’s study of the Bible has been life changing for millions. His quest to tell people they were saved by grace through faith does make part of life perfectly clear. Jesus saves. He opened hearts to more than the sweet relief that perfection was not required and neither was buying their way into heaven. He worked with the Holy Spirit to open hearts to seek a loving and reciprocal relationship with Christ. Luther said, “Faith is a living, daring confidence in God’s grace, so sure and certain that a man could stake his life on it a thousand times.” Let’s walk in that daring confidence, friends!
